Wishful Thinking

Why does blood turn brown when it dries?
Why do the tears well up in your eyes?
Why didn't I learn to ride my bike
When it was warm and sunny outside?

The Ditty Bops ask questions I am hard pressed to answer. They're awful cute, though. Just what I need -- another folksy sweet-harmony-singin' duo... ahh, who am I kidding? It's on the wishlist now.

Man, and they'll be at Merlefest... I need to find a way to go to this.

My 401 teaching is over. The last class didn't quite run as I had intended, but I think I facilitated enough learning for them to do okay in the rest of the course. Well, I suppose I should grade the homework and see... whee.

Okay. Better do some reading for class.

Yes, you do. I go every year. Last year Peter, Kari, and Jack Pearson went with me. The year before that, Chris Brav came down from Canada.

The tone of your post suggests that you're ambivalent about whether or not you should attend. Let there be no doubt: you are totally going this year. You don't care about those wussy "exams" that you take for "grades;" you want an all-you-can-eat serving of badass bluegrass, old-time, and folk music in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. You want to camp with Pearsons and me, since we'll be there. Nuff said. Problem solved. Happy to be of assistance.

Well, hell, I'm sold! When/where is this?

I suppose I could look at the website, huh? Not terribly forthcoming with pertinent info, but oh well...
